Privacy Policy


The customers of which we store personal data are the participants of our conference events. When they register for a conference, we store the following data of them:

As mandatory data:
  • Family name,
  • Given name,
  • Post mail address,
  • Email address,
  • Phone number.

Since May 25, 2018 we also store the confirmation / refusal of the customer with respect to storing his data after the end of the conference event.

If voluntarily given by the customers, the following non-mandatory data are stored:

  • initials,
  • letters of salut (Mr, Mrs, Miss),
  • academic title (“blank”, Dr, Prof),
  • affiliation / department,
  • fax number.

Non-mandatory data about dietary constraints are deleted after the conference event.

For customers who decide to become also members of our EUROMICRO society, as additional non-mandatory data “specific interests” are stored.

The stored data are used to

  • internally process registrations for our conference events (also e.g. to produce print files for the badges of the conference participants),
  • internally process member registrations for our society,
  • get in contact with our customers about preparation details for their participation in the conference (fee payments, delivery of camera-ready papers etc.),
  • inform them about up-coming events (mainly by Call for Papers),
  • inform about related activities as e.g. Special Issues in journals for selected papers of our conferences.

It has been and it is our strict rule to give stored data of our customers to third parties only after previous explicit agreement by the customers.

In cooperation with our Internet provider World4You, we provide technical and administrative measures to protect the stored data against loss, theft and unauthorized use or modification. Please note, however, that no absolutely perfect security of data and data transmission can be guaranteed. If you should detect any weakness in our security practise, please let us know about it.

Customer’s rights

Our customers all the time have the right to be informed about their current personal data stored at us, and to request for updating them. Also, if they want that their data are deleted, they can specify that by means of an interactive web form to be found at https://www.euromicro.org/registration/GDPR.php.
